Is it too late for me to learn drums? Am I too old?

Not at all! I’ve taught adults in their 40s, 50s, and beyond — even complete beginners. It’s never too late to start something new. If you’re excited to learn, I’ll help you reach your goals at your own pace.

Are there age restrictions?

Lessons are available for students ages 6 and up. If you’re not sure your child is ready, feel free to contact me to discuss options.

Do I need a drum set to get started?

No drum set needed to begin! You can start with just sticks and a practice pad. When you’re ready, I can help you choose a drum kit that fits your space and goals.

What areas do you serve?

I offer in-home lessons throughout the South Bay, including:

• Redondo Beach
• Torrance
• Gardena
• Manhattan Beach
• Palos Verdes

What are your lesson rates?

30 minutes: $45
45 minutes: $60
60 minutes: $75
Travel fee: $15–$20 depending on location
Lessons are billed monthly in advance

What styles of drumming do you teach?

I teach a variety of styles including rock, pop, funk, blues, metal, and jazz. Students are encouraged to bring in their favorite songs to learn as part of their lesson plan.

Do you offer a trial lesson?

Yes! I offer a free 30-minute trial lesson so you can try it out with no commitment. Just contact me here to schedule.

How do I pay for lessons?

Lessons are billed monthly in advance and can be paid via:

Payment Options:

• Square – in person or through a secure invoice
• Zelle – payment details will be shared after registration

Can I pick my lesson time?

Yes! We’ll find a weekly time that works best for your schedule. If something comes up, you can reschedule with 24 hours’ notice.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule. If that’s not possible, I’ll do my best to offer a makeup time or extend a future lesson.

How long should I take lessons?

The longer and more consistently you study, the more progress you'll make. I recommend weekly lessons for the best results. We’ll tailor your path based on your goals.

Each student’s plan is personalized, but we typically cover:
